Kulisusu boys make their own pate, slingshots, using a forked branch cut to size and strips of rubber. Usually we cut the rubber from old bicycle or motorcycle inner tubes. The pocket for holding the projectile we make from cloth or scraps from old shoes.
Boys use slingshots to hunt birds, which are sometimes eaten.
